How does Wetpaint make money?
Apr 30 2008, 12:30 PM EDT I was wondering how you guys make money? I recently started a website and I only made 72 cents with AdSense. And I noticed that Wetpaint uses AdSense, but there is no way you make all the money with AdSense. I also noticed that you have sponsors, But before the sponsors, how did you make money? --Wiiplay. Apr 30 2008, 2:18 PM EDT Wetpaint is privately funded. Turnkey is the way wetpaint makes a lot of money now. Companys pay $10,000+ to customise their site. There are over 800,000 wikis on wetpaint all containing ads. Wetpaint now uses flash ads due to google ads reducing the amount of clickable space. I dont think that is a good reason not to use ad sense as if someone wants to click the ad then they will. I am not sure how they break even with this but maybe they were in debt at the start just to get wetpaint rolling. Do you find this valuable? |
