What do the triangles and circles mean when they are next to a page on the navigation bar???? I'm so confused! please help!!!! Do you find this valuable?

The triangles mean that the page has sub pages and the ones that have circles mean that they don't have sub pages. Do you find this valuable?

If you click them then it drops down the pages contained within it. Do you find this valuable?
