Separate profile for each wetpaint wiki you join.
Apr 23 2008, 4:00 PM EDT As of April 2008, you need to fill out a whole new profile for each wiki you join. Several users have suggested changing this. It has implications for other things, such as friends (are they universal or wiki-specific?) and messages (messages sent to you at one wiki do not show up in your "messages" inbox at another wiki. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Separate profile for each wetpaint wiki you join.
Apr 23 2008, 4:17 PM EDT It isn't just since our last release - each of these features have always behaved this way. Profiles have always been separate and wiki-specific. Friends are universal, but only if you're both members of the same wikis. If you and another user are friends on one wiki, if you're both members of another wiki, you'll be friends there, too. Messages in one wiki have always been located on that wiki only. Messages are wiki-specific. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Separate profile for each wetpaint wiki you join.
Apr 24 2008, 9:41 AM EDT OK. I put the "as of April 2008" not implying that it used to be different, but in case it changed in the future. Sorry for the confusion. How hard would it be to change wetpaint, so that I can go to just one place to see messages? Right now, I have to go to "see all my wikis" (under my wetpaint at top right) and then check my profile at each one. It would be nice if at the "see all my wikis" page, the "my profile" link for each one had a "new messages" next to it if there are new ones. Do you find this valuable? |

Apr 25 2008, 1:30 AM EDT That would be useful. What I do is set it so that whenever I get a message on a certain wiki, I get notified in my e-mail. Then I check them from there. Do you find this valuable? |
