Its good but.......

Every member should have their own individual photo gallery. Im sorry, but I dont wantto look at a mass photo gallery of random photos. It woukd be great if each member has there own photo gallery and they can invite others to view it as well. Also we cant even comment on the pics? Everyone wants to have the oppurtunity to give comments on photos. To back up my some of my words; What is a no good spammer sign up and start to post inappropriate pics on the photo gallery and no mods or admins are on. In addition there are kids browsing your wiki, then to discover that there are things which they should'nt be viewing. All blame would go to the mods and admins, but we are humans not robots! We have to do other things to. But do you think they care about that? Parents and friends may be a bit pissed off. The photo gallery should be assigned to each member and we should have the option to have our photo gallery viewed publicly or private. Note: There is more coming your way wetpaint. Inappropiate things could be posted anyway. This is to identify those things and have them deleted quicker. Comments is a feature being added soon. You could try looking at albums instead and asking members to organise their photos into them.

Also some of the members could be one time members, who would post pics then leave the site. Also the whole concept of those inappropriate pics being deleted quickly, is due to the mass majority of mods and admins on wetpaint. It is very easy to moniter what is going on. Do you find this valuable? |

It is easier to view where inappropiate pictures are as you dont have to find the page. Messaging thousands of people isnt a problem. Just click the to button and send it to all registered users. I admit there will be a lot of people on the wiki. But there are thousands on this wiki and not many photos have been added.

I totally agree with Knuckles on this one. Yes I like the feature, but I agree that it would be a nice feature if every member had their own gallery. In my particular group, the photos that I generate are usually site building tools. It is awesome to not have to download them each time, however, they are not necessarily for everyone's use. My group is used for instruction and it is a must for me to be able to keep some order in the house. I do always check the what's new feature, because this allows me to see recent activity and any photos that are downloaded. A quick view allows me to be able to see if their was anything inappropriate posted on the site. I do not need to look through the gallery for these things. I do however appreciate wetpaint.com, the tools offered and the continuous effort and work involved striving to make it even better. Thank you wetpaint!

The same photo goes to the photo gallery, which really sucks. For instance I would post a sub banner on my homepage. Then to discover the same photo in the "Photo Gallery"! In addition to my complaint towards the photo gallery. I would like if you can at least have your photo album private for peep sake. Wetpaint, I really like this feature. But there should have been more thoughts put in this feature before it is released. Try to get opinions from other users. Do you find this valuable? |

I encourage you all to use the Photo Album feature in Photo Galleries. You can then organize the photos that you want to see and use separately from the rest of the photos on the site. You can even send an email about a particular album to someone.

I would have been great if the Photo Gallery was assign to each member and can be placed in the member templant (think I spelled it wrong). It pretty sucks to look at a whole bunch of random pics, some people don't even know how to use "tags"! Do you find this valuable? |

You can even send an email about a particular album to someone."Hi Jason, I agree that the Photo Album is a great feature. I am certainly encouraging those in my group to use them. I had this great idea, that if I moved all of the site graphics, etc. over to its own photo album, I could then delete the mess of photos downloaded that we don't need to be forced to browse through for a particular photo. Unfortunately, when I attempted to do this, and deleted the photos in the main gallery, it also deleted the photos that I had specifically moved to their own album. If there is any way, we could find our needed photo without having to browse through everyone else's download, it would be awesome! If everyone could move their photos to their own album, allowing us to delete the excess over flow, that would be awesome! Despite the few little bugs, I greatly appreciate all of you with Wetpaint, what you have provided for us here is incredible! Thank You! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
