Tables. Merging Cells.

Hi guys,

I've figured out how to merge cells horizontally in a table but how do I merge them vertically.

I am trying to create a table 5 rows by 5 collumns with the centre 3 by 3 cells merged to create a large cell in the middle.
I can merge the collumns within a single row beasily ut how do I then merge the rows within the collumns? Do you find this valuable?

You should be able to merge cells both vertically or horizontally. Just highlight the cells you want to merge, right-click, and then select the merge option on the dialog window that appears. Do you find this valuable?

Thanks, I've been experimenting and I can now merge cells verically OR horizontally but can't do both.

If I merge cells in a collumn, I can't then merge them with the next row. Right clicking only gives me the option to split the cells again. Do you find this valuable?

Figured it out.

I need to hold down "Shift" to select ALL the cells I want to merge then right click.
