So, are all of these wiki's that have unique style templates (is that the correct term?) have been designed by someone within your organization?

I have tried to modify the style sheet on our wiki (miller beach memories), but it isn't working right.

Others seem to be having the same trouble. I just want to know where to go from here. If it's not possible for me to do it, I'll stop trying, and move on to what needs to be done.

Thx!

I see lots of sites on here with cool "tops" to their home page. And I see where it shows that you can download one. But how do we do that? What do we download it from? How do you get your site name typed out in fancy font with pictures fading and overlaping, all in the header? I know these may be dumb questions but I am sure others want to know, too. I saw something that was talking about images and wondered if that was how, but I don't know the difference from images and photos. Please help.New at this but want to figure it out. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Not dumb questions at all. This gets to be tricky until you get the hang of it. After you choose a Template under Settings, Click on Name & Logo. Type in your site name. Then you can download the Logo (fancy font with pictures fading and overlaping if that is what you want). You need to create that download using a program of some kind. I used Gimp, because it was free. You have to play around with the settings on the logo to get it to fit into the header, and to not cover up your name. The Wiki like Jeremy and CryingDove are very dedicated and helpful. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Thank you sooo much. I will check all that out. I have been playing around with it and think I have it half figured out now, at least. I found some Logo sites, but they all wanted money-most wanted LOTS, but one and that one was too simple, didn't have what I wanted. I want to put photos of critters in the header... http://ammenagerie.wetpaint.com May even try laying it all out on paper, then taking a panoramic photo and see if that works.
Thanks again. Tentfire

I suppose that this way of editing the design will only affect the header and working areas, but not the left hand side of the page. Am I right? If so, is there any way by which I can design the entire page?

Thanks, Felix
