MORE than 40 uploads!
Mar 16 2008, 12:33 PM EDT
I'm working on a writing project that uses interviews as resource material and am rather devastated by the 40 upload limit. Need MORE room to work here. Your suggestion that I delete so I can add more is not very feasible. I can have MORE than one wiki site, and each one of those would have the same limit, so I would have set up multiple sites for multiple collaborations with the same person if I had known, but I didn't so it seems EXTREMELY ARBITRARY to put a limit of 40 uploads per wiki. Please help me out here. I have more resources to post. Please advise. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

There is an online storage site, which allows for 5 gigabyte of storage free. A widget can be placed on your Wetpaint wiki. The widget takes the form of Windows Explorer, with folders and subfolders that can be created to fit your needs. Folders can be shared and files uploaded into them. There is a function to password protect the folders if that is needed. Go here and click on Quick Tour button. I think you find this will fit your needs perfectly.

I prefer using iDrive. Its easier to manage but you only get 2 GB. But you could just open another account. You could also try combining these into 40 files. Maybe if two were associated then they could be placed together. Do you find this valuable?

Idrive is great for having an online backup of your local drives. 4shared is great for online sharing and collaboration, with full upload and download capabilities. Online previewing of text files. Can create folders and subfolders.Even provides for a subdomain address. Pretty neat stuff. But iDrive as I said is great for having an offsite (home) backup of your important files with encryption applied.

BTW: I meant to say Driveway in the above comment. Plus: Windows Live also offers 5gb to hold your stuff once you sign up for a windows live Id. Do you find this valuable?

Yeah, Windows Live is cool too. I use it to store most of my things.
