You mean the new navigation bar at the top. That is exactly what I would like to know. Is It possible to translate them into another language like Dutch?

"You mean the new navigation bar at the top. That is exactly what I would like to know. Is It possible to translate them into another language like Dutch?" Yes it does, but like most automatic text translators there will be some text that will not be able to be translated and plus there will be some grammatical mistakes. But it can be done. Pleae visit my site and learn how to translate an entire site into the more popular languages of the world including Dutch. http://splats.wetpaint.com Some of what seems to be text on my wiki are graphics so they will not translate. But you will be able to see how it is done. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

OK, thanks for the information. This helps a lot.But Then I have 2 questions. I get a google popup balloon to ask for better translations for every word an second It is not quite clear to me how I can paste the translated site into the original whitout any notice by the user. Can you please update me on how to implement this. So I have to copy the translation URL into the original site and does it redirect then or do I have to take further actions. In the end I don't want the user to klik on a button for the translation, as the content is already in Dutch, only the wetpaint frame is not translated. thanx in advance. Do you find this valuable? |

Hi, Google translater is a simple translator of text. on a website as a read-only reference.I mis-read what you wanted to accomplish. The translated site will only allow the functions of navigation through the site without editing capabilities. All editing actions would have to occur on the main site rather than the translated site. This would require members to click between the two sites. So this would not work for you for what you are seeking. What you are seeking is to have Wetpaint offered in languages that would be in a local domain (in your case, Dutch). With that being said, you may want to direct a post to Wetpaint for Future Features or Suggestiions asking for "Wetpaint in other languages". Sorry, this didnt work out for you.
