But that takes too long! Before that, we could just scroll down and see which threads were active!!! Do you find this valuable?

I was delighted when I discovered the new look and feel, especially the wider WYSIWYG area. You hit the bullseye! I applaud you for anticipating users' needs (or listening to us). keep up the good work. I appreciate it.

It will take a few days of use before I can intelligently comment on the other new features.

Keep cruising!

Jim

Totally agree!
The home page was used by all my site's members to see immediately what new pages had been added, by who and who was discussing what in the forum.
That's what I thought wetpaint was for.
It's totally removed the feel of a contant communal adding to and seeing who's adding what.
Since the update, nothing new has been added, or discussed. and it was an almost daily occurence!

It's just too inaccessable.

PLEASE BRING THE RIGHT COLUMN BACK!!!!!

The members list is much cooler.

Unfortunately - being a free site - that is one of the things we can't change. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Again, being a free site, we're very limited on how we can arrange things. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

when you click on your membership under "contributors" - it should take you to your profile. Make sure you are logged in through wettpaint - wiki - and you should see the "easy edit" button. Thats how you change your profile. Do you find this valuable?

"I don't have a problem with the new stuff now that I realize it is NEW STUFF. Maybe you sent something out to all users but if you did, I did not get it. (Could be your Comcast email problem). If you didn't I wqould suggest that when you do a new release you must let people know it is coming and what the new UI is going to be like (where they can find what they used to tihnk was great). Thx"
I totally agree with harens. I needed some info from my site around 12:30 am (3:30 am EST) and the layout for a whole section was out of whack because it was designed specifically for the 3-column narrow width. For days, the site had been and was excruciatingly slow and then realized that the roll-out of the new changes was the reason. [Advance notification would be helpful.] I was about to launch my wiki to a wider audience, but held off, again, to adapt to wetpaint's changes that I learn after the fact and not always noted, e.g., "Start thread" changed from "Start a thread" which was "Start a New Thread" which was.... I mention this because instructions need to match what the user is to look for.

At first, I wasn't thrilled with the new horizontal navigation tool bar, but I've adapted. Having the wider area for our content is what I originally wanted, so kudos and thanks. Also, in the promote area, the info on links and tags was helpful, but I wondering if we really need this on the navigation bar. Thank you.

In the bottom section "Related Content(what's this?)", we need a space between the word content and the quote. Do you find this valuable?

Why are all my pages missing except the home page? I didn't see any links to them. I'd hate to lose them it took quite a while to build them. Do you find this valuable?

"we'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions about the latest release."
People should be able to edit their replies in threads AND when people want to read a long thread more than once, be able to go directly to the end of the thread instead of wading through tons of pages.

Page refresh is horrible slow for busy popular threads - please do something about that as well.

Love the cleaner look--MUCH more professional appearance. Really like the "Add a To-Do" and "Email page". if we had them before, I had not noticed them, but I'm using them all the time now. Do you find this valuable?

I like the new changes - good work!
One more change would be awesome for my purposes: I have private sites and need to control who gets invited as new members - Is there some way I can limit the capability of inviting new members to administrators? If not, could you please add that capability? Thanks!

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for sharing your feedback on the latest release. We heard you loud and clear on the 'at a glance' value of the activity module on the home page. So we decided to add a similar version back, but this time it's on the left rail of the page so you could keep the wider WYSIWYG area. To make room you'll note that To-Dos are now in the new horizontal navigation. As before, the panel pulls the three most recently updates threads and page updates. We hope this helps you keep up to date on your favorite site's activity.

First, I just noticed the addition of the "To Do" on the navigation bar. My site is viewable by the public, but only moderators and up can edit pages. That said, we do NOT need the "To Do" and having it so prominent on the horizontal navigation bar creates misunderstanding with our registered users. I know other wetpainters use this "feature", so could the navigation bar be customized, i.e., the creator chooses which items to show on the horizontal navigation bar?

BTW: your link results in Search Results that says:

Would you like to create the 03/11/08 - release page now?

03/11/08 - release didn't match any pages or threads.
