Make it optional - WYSIWG or HTML editor.

Make it optional - WYSIWG or HTML editor.
That way people can start basic, then alter enhance their pages if they care to take the time to learn HTML. And HTML experienced will be happy.

I agree that HTML editing would be awesome. I also want either some control of my CSS or the ability to directly alter the style of headers. I'm having a document formatting war at the moment, as I want my headers and subheaders to look different (none of the provided styles appear to do this) and the other person refuses to not use the actual header/subheader tags. 1  out of 3 found this valuable. I partially agree. The formatting seems a bit unstable with the WSYIWYG editor. Blank lines seem to come and go randonly. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Here is a tip I made a few days ago:

Are you tired of spacing out your page to get it exactly the way you want it and seeing it all disappear when you click save? With the help of these "spacer GIFs" you can add transparent lines to your page and make sure that they don't disappear once your done editing. Try these Space GIFs and see the difference they will make to your wiki!

Visit: http://splats.wetpaint.com/page/Managing+Blank+Lines+On+Your+Page to get your own!

Ronan - Why not try "Search this Wiki" in the top-left corner of the page? It will reduce thread numbers and give you more detailed information! http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/account/DigitalX

Also this means some of the widgets I keep trying to put on would be a lot less boring. And I seem to be running out of hosting sites that accept CSS since HostSnake released its "better" new version that don't accept it or Flash. It would also mean that if we decide to move our sites we could put in redirect pages.

Shifting to Wetpaint from other wiki tools, the ONLY thing I feel sorry about is not being able to insert HTML codes... Pleeeeease!

And thanks for this incredible tool!

I love Wetpaint, but they need to treat the source code more like pbwiki. In edit mode there is a "Source" button that lets you view the code of your WYSIWYG. You can also enter or paste code then switch back to WYSIWYG view.

You don't have to know how to write in HTML. You can just use any tool that can create HTML. Such as "Word, Excel or a million other programs. Do you find this valuable?

"I don't care much for HTML"
If it's optional, you could choose either or do half and half.
