If you made the pictures then put a copyright on the. You could use Myfreecopyright.com (i think). If you have copyright and someone copies, report it to wetpaint and they will delete copied content.

i would rather have it so that if they tried to right click on the picture, a messege comes up saying they cannot copy this pic or something to that effect...i have found several codes from websites that say that adding this code to your page, it will prevent copying..but it doesnt work.. Simply viewing a web page downloads any image to the local browser cache. That's how browsers work. We don't allow JavaScript to be entered directly into Wetpaint pages, so those copy-blockers won't work. Google creates a cache of any web page it finds, too, effectively copying everything on the page. The reality is that if you don't want something copied, don't put it online. Like Jason says. If you don't want ti copied, don't put it online. No matter how many codes you find to prevent right clicking and saving as or watermarks you embed there is still the Print Screen option which you cannot over ride. If a person wants to swipe your pic bad enough they are going to achieve it one way or another. Do you find this valuable?

People that make their livelihood from images usually put a watermark on their images. This can be a good way to discourage people from copying the image and make it easier to identify a stolen image on someone else's site. Do you find this valuable?

Thank you for the idea, then i would still get credit even if it were on someone else's site.
is there any way to put a permanent link on a pic, so if it is copied, and someone clicks on it, they will come to my site??

Nope, unfortunately, there is no way to add a permanent link like that.

Their is an advantage of watermarked images and that is, if someone copies it and puts it on their website. They're just advertising the website that they originally got that image from, which makes for great marketing for that website. lol
