Changing order of Attachments
Feb 7 2008, 2:40 AM EST Is there a way to put attachments in a different order, or move a specific one up or down the list? The newest one seems to go on top, but I'd like folks to see the most important ones first. Thanks for any help. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Changing order of Attachments
Feb 19 2008, 5:19 PM EST Attachments are simply listed in the order that they were added. I suppose you could edit this by removing the attachments and then re-adding them in the order that you prefer. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Changing order of Attachments
Feb 19 2008, 5:27 PM EST Thanks, Jeremy. The only problem is that I'd have to eliminate all but one attachments and reload every single time I want to bring the "major" one for new folks to the top again. Maybe someday they can be tagged with a number or letter and reshuffled, like Excel does "Sort by", or starred as a preference for "Mr. Top Spot". Thanks for looking into this. RE: Changing order of Attachments
Apr 21 2008, 7:43 AM EDT Just make a page listing/linking to the attachments. Then order the list as you wish. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Apr 21 2008, 12:51 PM EDT Dear PWXZEE1, Thanks for the creative idea! I'll have a go and see if I can make it work. EasyEdit should make it a cinch, once I learn how to create links within the document. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Changing order of Attachments
Apr 21 2008, 2:08 PM EDT You can right click on the existing attachments to "copy link location" and then add that URL to your new attachments list using the link adding process as shown on http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Add+Link 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Apr 21 2008, 2:14 PM EDT Same goes for using outside file hosting services. Click on the direct download link for your download to start without leaving your site. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I had just run into that problem, failing to link powerpoints and .pdfs. Now I'll try again. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Changing order of Attachments
Apr 21 2008, 4:34 PM EDT One thing: you have to close the EasyEdit feature, copy the URL, then reopen EasyEdit to insert the link. But it's hardly a problem. I was able to link to all attachments, as promised, so I wrote up a little description of each attachment with the title as link. Beautiful! Thanks to all of you who answered!
