merge cells - no more - BUG?

I'm not able to merge cells in tables any more. This could be done before. I tried both the latest firefox and IE on Windows XPt.
I tried it here: http://www.wikisandbox.com/page/table-merge-center

What's wrong? 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

There's a bug, yes. Occasionally I try to highlight cells and merge them to no avail. But a quick Split Cell, followed by a Merge Cell to merge all the offending cells would work.

I did it on Opera 9, Firefox 2 and IE 7. Do you find this valuable?

I had that problem also. Some of my earlier created tables are merged, but my newer one aren't. Do you find this valuable?

Merging cells works fine. I turned on the grid lines on that table so that you could see them better. Do you find this valuable?
