Copying Tables.
Feb 3 2008, 3:04 PM EST | Post edited: Feb 3 2008, 3:04 PM EST
I've just created a 1 row 5 collumn table on my homepage and successfully made hyperlinks to other admin pages on my site.

Is there any way I can copy this table and the hyperlinks to other admin pages or do I need to do it manually on every page?

There's a specific method I recommend for copying a table.
1. Enter Easy Edit mode.
2. Right-click on the table and then Select Table.
3. Control-C

You've now copied the table, the whole table, and only the table. Feel free to paste it wherever you'd like.

I see a lot of confusion, mis-understanding and not knowing how to copy and paste objects. The process uses a two key combination to perform. The CRTL key also known as the control key in conjunction with another letter. While holding down the CRTL key and pressing another key will execute that function. The common two-key copy and paste functions are as follows:
CTRL and the C key = copies the selected item to the windows clipboard.
CTRL and the V key = pastes the selected item from the windows clipboard
CTRL and the X key = will cut the selected item from the page and put it into the windows clip board.

Now how to use these. First you must select the object to work with. In this case the Table. Go to Easyedit -position the cursor over the item then using the right mouse button click on the item. A menu will appear with one of the options that reads SELECT TABLE. Highlight that option and the table will be selected. You now have your object. Hold the CRTL key down, while depressing the C key. This will copy the selected object (Table) into the Clipboard. This will remain in the clipboard until another copy operation is performed or the computer is turned off. Now you can go to any page. Easyedit that page. Put the cursor in the position where you want the table to be and depress the CTRL key in combination with the V key, and the talbe will paste at that position.
Hope this helps.
