deleting old content

When I delete a page, or delete content from a page, how can I make sure it's gone forever and not viewable?

Some other teachers and I are using a wiki to build course content. When classes start in a few weeks, the wiki will be what the students use for course information (I'd like to it but it's private right now). I want to make sure that our drafts and administrative contents that we have up now are totally gone when the site goes public.

Or, I'd like to know if there's a way to password protect some pages, or to limit some pages to moderators and admins only.

Thanks!

If you delete the content on a page, you can only get it back from reverting it to the previous version. This can only be done by Moderators and up.
As for deleting the page, you can restore it by going to the Page Toolbox and selecting Restore. Once again, this can only be done by Moderators. The information on that page will not be shown unless it is Restored.
