Problems with Bold
Jan 16 2008, 7:03 PM EST
We've identified a problem where bold text can be difficult to remove. This may also affect some other formatting. We're working on a fix and should have it out tonight. If you are experiencing this problem now, I recommend that you not make any further changes to that page. Doing so may aggravate the problem.

After we make this fix live, you should be able to clean up the affected pages. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This problem was resolved last night. If you have a page with improper bold or other formatting, you should be able to clean it up now.

Again, sorry for the trouble.

thanks Jason, but either the problem came back or there is a new one. Editing tables and everything goes bold. Just wait, or is there a solution?? Do you find this valuable?

Any news on this? I am having similar problems in a table on my website. I click the button to turn off Bolding, and it doesn't turn off!

This specific problem was resolved in January. Please check to make sure that the text you're trying to unbold is not set as Heading.

If you're still having trouble, please let me know the URL of the page and the text that you're having trouble with.

"If you're still having trouble, please let me know the URL of the page and the text that you're having trouble with."
It is not set as a Heading. The text is set to "Normal." I highlighted everything in the table and clicked to make sure Normal was selected.

The URL is http://eggertreunion.wetpaint.com/. The problem is on the main home page. This is a password-protected site so please contact me privately if you, as an administrator, are not able to access the site.

When I am in Easy Edit mode, the text does not look bolded, yet the Bold button is still depressed. (I don't think Prozac will work, either...) While in Easy Edit mode, if I select all the text in the table cell, or just a few words, and then click the Bold button, the button remains depressed and the selected text changes to bold font. Then, while still in Easy Edit mode, when I click the Bold button again to unbold the text, the text does unbold, but the Bold button remains depressed. It just won't turn off. Then, I click the Save button, and all the text is Bold.

There we go, all fixed.

There was an extraneous bold tag hanging around in the table. I got rid of it by selecting all and then unbolding the whole thing.
