Problems Signing In
Jan 15 2008, 7:32 PM EST
When I hit the Sign In button, there is supposed to be a little box that pops up that I type my screen name and password in, but when I click the Sign In button, nothing pops up. 3  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

That's usually a sign that Javascript is turned off in your browser. If Javascript is turned on, try doing a forced refresh by holding control-shift and refreshing the page. Do you find this valuable?

As Jason had mentioned above, this is usually a sign that you do not have JavaScript enabled. Check your browser settings.

We are going to need more detail.
When you click on the sign in link does the sign in dialog box appear?
If yes, JavaScript is working.
When you enter your username and password and click the sign in button, what happens? Is there an error message? What happens?
What OS and browser version are you using?

If I click 'sign in" the sign in link appears. No error message but the box asks if I would like to join. At the bottom is a link that says "already a member?". If I click on "already a member it takes me back to the enter the user name and pass work. If I click remember me I go round in circles.

Something doesn't sound right. If you are not signed in to Wetpaint and go to a site where you are a member, the process should be like this:
1) Click "sign in" link in upper right corner of page > Sign In dialog window opens
2) Enter username and password and click on "Sign In" button
3) If you are a member of the site you'll be signed in, but if you are not a member of the site it will prompt you with a dialog window asking if you want to "Join This Wiki".

The thing that sounds out of place in your description is the link that says "Already a Member?" Where exactly are you seeing this link? Can you send me a screenshot or post it somewhere so I can see it?

The only issue I have and it is not critical with using the WIKI is now I have to sign in every time I visit the site instead on being logged in as I once was.
