Invites getting lost or are very slow

I'm trying to invite my students to a course wiki... they never seems to get the invite. They say spam isn't the problem.
They're not very happy.
I want to keep the site private.
I've tried inviting in batch and one at a time.
Do you find this valuable?

Invitations do not go out immediately - we send them in batches every couple of hours. I show that many of the invitations you've sent have been accepted, including one yesterday. Do you find this valuable?

But I've sent them in a batch, then singly, then even again for some.
I'm not sure if students are just ignoring them because of the title ('though I've told them to look for the subject)...

I've confirmed that the invitations have been sent, which is confirmed by the fact that many of them have been accepted. As for the ones that haven't accepted, I couldn't say. Do you find this valuable?
