I need to change template!
Jan 2 2008, 3:50 PM EST
I use a site template and now I want to change the theme to something else. Being a newbie I didn't realized that I'm locked in once I chose a template. To create a new site template I suppose I have try to delete my account and create a new one. Unless there is a way...

Delete your page, and then start over. This is always how I do those mess ups. Thanks!Elliot V. http://www.wetwiki.wetpaint.com 0 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Yes. This is if you have completely messed up your site, which would be bad! Well, just a domain name wasted for another user to use.

If you want to keep using the same domain name then you can just edit or delete the existing pages. Pages can be renamed, edited, or deleted as necessary. See http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Working+With+Pages

I really need to get rid of the whole site. All of the navigation, icons and so forth need associated with the site template need to be removed. I looked for a "blank" template option and apparently missed it.

I was all excited about this web site, now I wasted a great domain on a freaking "book club" - Wetpaint developers - STUPID STUPID STUPID to not allow users to delete the template options after the fact. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. "Stop crying and make a new wiki. Obviously the Wetpaint Developers can't do nothing about the mistake "you" (noticed that I quoted the you) made!"Both of you need to chill. It is frustrating because it tells us we can change at any time, flexible, etc. but it doesn't explain or warn you about this before you select the home page template. Then you spend hours trying to figure it out, there must be way, etc. finally you have to come to your own conclusion that you can't and you've lost your domain etc. Surely Knuckles, you can understand. Or your just plain mean and you know what they say about mean people don't you? 3 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

For a Home Page, you could try to click around on the template many times and then deleted all ofthe boxie thingieys. Then you won't have a template anymore! =D

You can change the template by clicking on "settings" in the upper right hand corner. Then click on "Styles".
