Registered Users Privileges
Dec 5 2007, 5:23 PM EST It would really be great if Registered Users were unable to invite other people to join the wiki. We're using it for a class and want to limit who can invite people (only instructors should be allowed to do this). 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dec 6 2007, 1:09 PM EST Actually what I really need is: - limit who can invite - limit who can join to those who are invited and, if possible, - limit which pages a user can edit. Students will be required to edit the page for their group (which I guess means we'll have to make them writers), but we don't want them editing the rest. We want to limit who can post to the threads to those we've invited. Is this going to be possible. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

As a classroom teacher(s) we are setup as admin to give the teachers in a grade complete control over a wiki. Students are set up as writers so that they can create, edit/contribute to pages. We don't necessarily care whether the wiki is public or private. We can work around that. * HOWEVER We don't want students to be able to invite other students from other schools who we don't know, since then these newly invited students can add potentially unwanted comments. Essentially, turning off the ability for somebody to send invite/create other contributors. OR It would be nice to be able to see who sent the invite. If student A invited student B, and student B wrote something nasty on the wiki, I would like to know which user invited student B. Do you find this valuable? |
