  • TROJAN HORSE A scan of my PC using AVG has revealed 6 Trojan Horses.

Four of them are on my backup HD and two are on my C drive.

The address will mention the hard drive letter, then one of my personal folders and then the name of my Wetpaint website followed by .exe.
The name of the Trojan Horse is Agent 2.GQI

All appear to be associated with my Wetpaint website.

Any ideas on why this is happening?
Although AVG alerts me to the fact , I'm not sure if it actually detroys them when found.
    Defender says all is normal.

  • When is Wetpaint going to do something about all these viruses!?!? I use Wetpaint for all of my classes. Ever since Wetpaint eliminated the free advertisement removal option for educators, my class sites have been riddled with viruses that have caused my students' computers to crash. It is not just one site. All of my classes are experiencing the problem as well as several of my colleagues who are using the site for both personal and professional reasons. I have emailed Wetpaint Central, but am still waiting on a response. Is anyone looking into this?

  • virus warning reported This doesn't show up on my computer (so far) but another forum mentioned that there is a virus warning attached to visiting my Wetpaint site. Could you please investigate this? Is it related to the Golden Paint Can competition? The only ads on my site is the Wetpaint wiki stuff at the bottom of the page. <http://itsaboutthehorse.myfastforum.org/about2232.html&highlight=>

Just wondering, did anyone else get a virus warning when you visited the paddock paradise site. I did and apparently could not be disinfected, so I got out right away...anybody else?

  • Task Manager to prevent malware... Can I just click TASK MANAGER and END Firefox or Internet Explorer upon the malware window pop-up and before it scan my and PC and install the virus. It seems I would never had the option to cancel this process in the browser.

    Thanks!

  • WetPaint Virus Several people who have visited our wiki - www.securingshaw.wetpaint.com have had their anti-virus software say the site has a problem with the Trojan virus. A few people thought it might come from one of the -pop-up ads placed on the site by WetPaint.

What's going on and how can we fix it/

  • Virus alerts To the folks at Wetpaint, can you please update us as to the status on the virus issue. Members of a site that I have organized have been getting the same virus issues described by the previous threads. Thanks for all your help.

  • Malicious Software Anyone that comes across a person on your site by the user name- frontyjr - Do not click on anything on their profile page, ban them and make note on your site so that everyone knows.

The reason for this is that once you click on anything, it sends you to a different malicious site.

    Please...Let everyone know you can...

    Thanks...

  • Malicious Site One of your sites seems to be malicious. Please checn it out.

    http://rahulhackingarticle.wetpaint.com/

If so, please ban the user.

I am using Windows XP and the site has changed my IE Home page.
I visited a famous portal called www.Sify.com then visited a few links. That is when I noticed the title bar change to RAHUL THE H@CkeR and then it reset my IE Home Page

You shoudl also have a provision for outsiders (non-members) to report violating sites through a prominent link in your home page. I was going in circles looking for one.

    Kindly help
    Thanks

  • Malicious Site One of the Wetpaint users seems to have created a malicious site

    http://rahulhackingarticle.wetpaint.com/

Is there a way to report this to Wetpaint moderators. I searched throughout the Wetpaint site but could not find a single link that allows non-members to report a site that violates TOS.

If you know where to report, kindly inform the moderators and get this site banned.

    Thanks
