Advertising on this site
Hello, I am wondering what are the fees to post an add for a study about gambling behavior, which is fouding by a non-profit organization at a well known university.
Please feel free to contact me @ najwamata@yahoo.com

Custom advertisement request?
Hello, I'm aware that Wetpaint does not allow for one to host custom AdSense advertisements, mainly due to the advertisement area being uneditable. However, is there a possibility for one to request a dedicated ad-block, located in a similar location to the already visible AdSense ad?
I am interested in hosting a custom advertisement, which would not affect the visibility of the already placed AdSense code. My advertisement code, which allows for users to quickly and easily purchase their own advertisements directly from within the widget, would not limit or void the already available AdSense advertisements.
If I were to give a Wetpaint developer my advertisement code/widget, is there a possibility that the developer could integrate it into my Wetpaint website?
Thank you for reading, and I know the answer will most likely be a solid and firm "no". However, I thought it was worth a shot.

AArrggh. Whats happened to your ads??
I think Wetpaint is great. I appreciate you need to place adverts to make money. Up until recently your ads were Google text ads, which was fine - not too obtrusive and had a product that was to do with the subject of the site. But NOW - flashing, eye distracting ads about any old subject you care to mention. Is this just a trial - or is it here to stay - in which case I'm not.

ad-free non-profits wiki?
I am interested in finding out if you have intentions of extending the education ad-free policy to non-profits generally. I am on the board of a small non-profit and would like to develop a wiki around our issues that isn't speckled with ads. This is a wonderful site and I fully plan to use it either way, but it just seems a little strange to run ads around pages for non-profits. Thanks very much.

private project management wiki without ads
Private Wetpaint wiki as a project management tool is another niche market which can be very profitable segment for their revenue generation model. This tool already has lot of collaboration features built in like to-do lists, shared calendar and contact list etc. in its project management template.
I would recommend a subscription paid wiki with following features.
1) It has to be ad free in lieu of a monthly or yearly subscription fee. 2) Ideally the wiki should be hosted locally on organisation servers to protect sensitive data and personal information. 3) Tighter security through https protocol, data encryption between client and server and similar features. 4) The layout should be more configurable with more freedom to add information boxes at right and left panels.
The free public wiki can continue in its current form e.g. supported by ads from google for those who don't need the extra features.

ad-free Church wiki?
i would like to know if it is possible for you to extend the same ad-free benefit that education wikis have to churches and their ministries. I am a high school teacher, but I also teach at my church. I would like to set up a wiki for them to discuss Bible topics, life issues, testimonies, etc. without having the normal distractions of most social sites(i.e. myspace, facebook, urbanchat, etc.). I believe that this wiki would be a great benefit to all of my kids just as wetpaint has been for several teachers. Thank you for your consideration in this manner.

would like the 'premium option' for using wetpaint without advertising
also want to be able to turn off all access for non-registered users, and of course, an API would be clutch. also want to be able to turn off different site features, like Discussion Forums, etc. And customize the look/feel, of course.
my company could pretty easily be convinced to pay $50/mo for that. it would be inexpensive compared to salesforce's $9,000/mo or whatever it is they are charging these days.

Ads
Ever wonder about those ads on your site? Here are some answers to your frequently asked questions. Q. Why do ads appear on my Wetpaint site? A. Wetpaint places ads contextually relevant ads on their network of sites to defray the costs
