  • ok so this is wierd... I was going to added a animated picture to my site. In the past I have no trouble. I clicked on the 'other' option under widgets and it worked fine. Today I went to my profile to add another picture, but under widgets the option 'other' is no longer there. Is this just my acount or is there some problem with the site?

  • HTML Complaint Wet Paint, according to the threads and Q & A they provide, does not permit any HTML code for Twitter, or any other HTML for Widgets already on WetPaint. Wet Paint MUST GET WITH THE TIMES and get Twitter Widget in immediately. This is absolutely stupid. Only a mass assult on Wetpaint by users will bring about this change. DON'T TREAD ON ME! Give me my Twitter Widget or HTML code ! AAARrrrrggggghhhhhhhh!

  • HTML CSS coding IS there anyway you guys could impletement a feature where someone could write their whole page from scratch using html xhtml etc. I really want to build a website but I don't like using any of the templates because to me it doesn't look unique. It's nice to have the option of using them but I'd also like to have the option of using my own coding to create my own website using HTML and CSS and just coding everything myself. thanks

  • HTML Okay, I know you've probably gotten this thread about a million times, but I hate the fact that it's not possible to insert HTML into a Wetpaint page. I think someone should at least be able to insert a block of HTML if they want to, but it wouldn't have to be necessary.

    Thanks for reading.

  • Time to do something with editor that is letting Wetpaint down badly. The editor has been bad for a long time. It really lets WetPaint down badly.
It loses or changes formatting constantly, or refuses to change formats when requested.
Becuase it is so bad, I often try creating my stuff outside then pasting it in to the editor. But the results are so unpredictable that way too. Often even crashing Explorer, or just make it not respond.
One solution that was proposed was to allow users to post HTML code. Why not ?

Maybe you could give us, or tell us about, a reliableoffline editor that produces output that can be cut and paste into WetPaint editor, and give us a reliable, predictable result.

But, to me, it just doesn't make sense to go on ingoring such a weak link in the overall system.
Please do SOMETHING to improve the lopw quality current situation.

  • Suggestion on HTML... My suggestion is about HTML. WetPaint needs HTML. It can be combined with the WYSIWYG interface. Take Webs (http://www.webs.com/) for example. They have a great WYSIWYG editor, along with an HTML feature. Try it, sign up and see how easy Webs is, almost as easy as WetPaint, but there's more to that. At Webs you can add your HTML, it doesn't have to be the huge HTML code, it can just be a link code perhaps, or even a form, anything from HTML. But does WetPaint have that? The answer is NO... HTML is what makes the page unique. Even if there is a WYSIWYG editor. I like Webs for its HTML, but I also like WetPaint because of this community website, but I'm thinking of switching back to Webs. I already have a personal website set up at Webs - http://www.thespaceman.webs.com/ But I don't know what will happen in WetPaint. I am already starting on a new website out of complete, and sophisticated HTML coding just to add my HTML features where I want because of 1 reason - searching for decent web hosts with both an HTML feature, and a WYSIWYG interface is getting hard and boring. I hope WetPaint will someday allow HTML someday. I e-mailed WetPaint, and I read lots of posts about HTML, but all answers from WetPaint seems to be the same, that they will notify the development team to pass on the suggestion, but I'm not sure when WetPaint will finally let us use HTML, I think I should go back to using Webs even if Webs is crappy. Well, I have no idea if this suggestion would be useful, or if it would be trash. I hope I would still be with WetPaint when they finally let us use HTML.

  • Coding I would like to know what the codes are for wet paint wiki so that I can customize my wiki site completely without having to use the EasyEdit Toolbar. Even thought the toolbar is useful, I still prefer to do things the old fashion way using html, xml or xhtml coding. I would also like to know if BBCode is enabled on WetPaint, I know this is not a forum but a BBCode ability would be useful for making things such as post for school WetPaints.

    Thankyou.

  • Site verification for Google Webmaster Tools I am the "Creator" of tmswiki.wetpaint.com and am trying to use Google Webmaster Tools. It wants me to verify my website, and gives me two options: "Add a meta tag" and "Upload an html file." Here are the help files it provides:
    ----------------------------------------
    Meta tag
    1. Sign into Google Webmaster Tools with your Google Account.
    2. Click Verify next to the site you want.
    3. In the Choose verification method list, select Add a meta tag, and follow the steps on your screen.

Once you've added the tag to your home page, click Verify.

    -------------------------------------------
    HTML file

To verify your site by uploading an HTML file:

    1. Sign into Google Webmaster Tools with your Google Account.
    2. Click Verify next to the site you want.
    3. In the Choose verification method list, select Upload an HTML file, and follow the steps on your screen.
    4. Using any text editor, create the file that we ask for and make sure to save it with the exact name we ask for (for example, google11e5844324b7354e.html). The filename is case-sensitive and must have an ".html" extension. The file itself can be empty - we don't read the content of the file, but only check to see that it exists in the specified location. Upload the file to your webserver to the location we specify. Generally, this is the root folder for your site.
    5. Once you have uploaded the file, click Verify button. We will verify that the file exists in the specified location. If we can't access the file, we'll give you information about the error we encountered. Once this problem is resolved, try to verify your site again.

    ----------------------------------------------------
Is it possible to use either of these methods with my Wetpaint site?

  • Can I use HTML or BBCode to embed a picture instead of uploading one? I'm wondering if I can use HTML to embed a photo that's hosted on another site, instead of resizing and uploading my photos from my computer. I can't find an option to edit HTML in the "easy edit" section.
