Advertising
I just visited a Wetpaintcentral wiki for the first time and was overwhelmed by the ads. They are way over the top and spoil the whole experience of using this service. $240 a year is way too much to switch off advertising. Users would be much better off spending $50 a year for shared hosting and install their own wiki on their own space with their own domain.

EDUCATION WIKIS AND ADVERTISING
I was told that my membership did not have advertising because it was an education site. It has been ad free for some time now, but now they have returned. What should I do to remove them? I cannot pay $19 every month - I am a UK teacher and this is for mypupils. I understood that education wikis were free and ad free?

reduce your fees!!!
I love wetpaint but the cost of premium services is not competitive. I currently pay for webhosting for a cost of $7 per month yet the wetpaint premium is $19 per month. This doesn't seem fair. I would like to continue my wetpaint but I have to have the ads removed because it use the site with primary school children and the headteacher doesn't want to have the ads included. Can you PLEASE take another look at educational establishments in your pricing structure
Thanks, Cheryl Morgan, Raglan Domesday Wiki

Unable to cancel my subscription to remove advertising
We have been trying since February 2011 to cancel our Premium subsciption, removing the advertising following the instructions provided by WetPaint. We are getting absolutely and completely frustrated as our July credit card statement has yet another subscription charge for the month. No contact phone numbers nor any email contacts are provided anywhere to be able to speak / deal directly with any of the company reps. Is anyone able to shed any light on why this is happening? We want this matter resolved. Thanks!

Ad Removal
I have paid to have the ads removed from my site, payment went through but the ads are still on my site. How long does it take before the ads are removed?
9/17 Can anyone answer my post please. If this service has been opted out, then I need a refund. If there is some sort of technical delay I would love to know. I would love to know anything about this problem. I do not appear to be the only one this happened to. Thank you

I pay but still have the three Adobe Flash Player Boxes
How to remove the Adobe Flash Player Boxes? Since I set my Wetpaint class Wiki to private - and pay for it monthly - I still have 1/3 of my home page blocked with these three place holders that are empty in private Wikis with the text: "Oops! This site is private so the data in this module cannot be shown.". Do I have to pay more? Is there a Preferences setting? Since the Wetpaint server knows that I pay and the Wiki is private, why do you not remove these empty boxes?

Content exportable?
I like the wiki aspects of the site, and am using it to build a support database. Can the information be exported to my own domain wiki? If not can my domain be added to the content and hosted on your server? Also can the information be locked for registered users only to view and contribute?

Do I get paid if someone clicks on your adds?
So, the website is free as long as I give the permission to display your banners, right?

paypal has meesed me up!
To whom it may concern
I have had an ad removal subscription since March 2009 at $10.00/month debited automatically from my paypal account.
I have just been noticed by paypal that due to my bank account having to be reset up, the above subscription has been canceled automatically at paypal's end NOT BY ME!
I have a new bank account that will be verified by mid week. I can also give a new c/c for payment BUT I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE THIS SUBSCRIPTION
I have read that the only way to update payment info is to cancel and reset up. If I cancel wit you , I loss the current $10.00/month fee.
Please advise.

I do not want to get bombarded with all the ads and have my computer slow down to a crwl. I might as well decline the memership altogether. MJ

Custom URL
I was under the impression that if we acquire a custom URL, then that was another way to remove the ads from our wetpaint site. We recently acquired a custom URL (www.thebchurch.org) for our www.bchurch.wetpaint.com site, but the ads are still on there. Was I incorrect about this, or what can I do to remove the ads?

add our own ad
Hi,
I wonder whether you could help me. I have just started a site for student's workshops and seminars. would like to remove the adverts by paying $19.95 on the site. However once I have done that, would I be able to upload my own adverts which is more suitable for the site? If so, is there any instructions to do that? I would appreciate if someone can advise on this or point me to the link where the instruction is.
Thank you

No Ads for Libraries
I agree that the nature of the advertising that is now infesting the site is inappropriate. Perhaps you would consider offering a discount to educators/educational non-profits like libraries who are concerned with maintaining commercial free content.Or, maybe you would agree to a discount for an upfront one year payment in full?
Look forward to your reply.
