Custom URL was taken over
I have a wetpaint wiki site: anitawiki,wetpaint.com . I am the creator/administrator.
I had a custom URL www.anitablakewiki.com It had been set-up by Alex Berg. This has been in place for many years. I recently discovered that this registry expired and has been taken over and now after many years of making this a valuable go-to site, getting this URL back is not going top happen - premium charge of close to $9000.00 at GoDaddy. My problem is that I cannot seem to get to my site with its original wetpaint address to change the settings in regaards to the custom URL. I keep getting shunted to the custom URL when I enter it in the address bar? How can I get to my site to chnage this and send out a communication to all my members.
I am looking into getting a replacement URL but it looks like this is a premium service now, I want to know if I change the current associated URL if I will fall under the old or new pricing.
Thanks

new to wetpaint..
Hi everyone,
New to wetpaint. The layout seems a bit cumbersome. If you have any tips for me, please leave them in the comments! :)

need domain redirection help
Didn't get a response when I posted this originally; perhaps because I'd failed to login prior to posting?
Hi:
We run http://seattlemba.wetpaint.com and also own mbaseattle.com, which is registered via 1and1. I've setup the 1and1 account to redirect the CNAME to seattlemba.wetpaint.com, but it seems not to be working. I've also configured the Custom URL setting in Settings on Wetpaint to accept this redirect -- I did this several weeks ago, but it still shows status as "Status: Change in Progress".
Please advise whether I've missed a step, done something incorrectly, or if there's an action pending on the Wetpaint side? Thanks.

Does it matter?
I have a wetpaint wiki which needs a domain, I am using FastHosts (a domain provider) and I was just going to apply using my domain from FastHosts for my wiki, will it matter?

Custom URL
Why have a Custom URL? A custom URL or domain name is easier to remember than a Wetpaint URL. So, if someone finds your site on the web, they are much more likely to remember a URL that doesn't have Wetpaint in it. (Sad, we know, but true.) T
