Custom advertisement request?
Hello, I'm aware that Wetpaint does not allow for one to host custom AdSense advertisements, mainly due to the advertisement area being uneditable. However, is there a possibility for one to request a dedicated ad-block, located in a similar location to the already visible AdSense ad?
I am interested in hosting a custom advertisement, which would not affect the visibility of the already placed AdSense code. My advertisement code, which allows for users to quickly and easily purchase their own advertisements directly from within the widget, would not limit or void the already available AdSense advertisements.
If I were to give a Wetpaint developer my advertisement code/widget, is there a possibility that the developer could integrate it into my Wetpaint website?
Thank you for reading, and I know the answer will most likely be a solid and firm "no". However, I thought it was worth a shot.

When is Wetpaint going to do something about all these viruses!?!?
I use Wetpaint for all of my classes. Ever since Wetpaint eliminated the free advertisement removal option for educators, my class sites have been riddled with viruses that have caused my students' computers to crash. It is not just one site. All of my classes are experiencing the problem as well as several of my colleagues who are using the site for both personal and professional reasons. I have emailed Wetpaint Central, but am still waiting on a response. Is anyone looking into this?

Ads
Okay, here are a few things about ads summed up into one thread.
There has been much complaining about Wetpaint removing the ad-free education program. Why did they remove it? They were running out of money. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Ad+Free+Education+Sites You can report ads that your students should not be seeing at: info@wetpaint.com The steps are at the bottom of this page. http://wetpaintcentral.com/page/Ads A few staff members of Wetpaint, including the popular Jason_Wetpaint were laid off. Very sad ;(
Now, header ads are above the pages in a new spot. It looks more like they weren't just put there. Many are asking, "What do the header ads have to do with the content of my site?" Nothing. They have nothing to do with the conent of your site. Why, you ask? Header ads simply pay a lot, and there are not enough related-to-your-site header ads. Text ads, are normally related to your site. For example, I have a bunch of articles and discussions about the Swine Flu. A lot of ads are about Swine Flu.
This is common for header ads to be unlike the content of the site. Look at many sites you go to. YouTube.com, IGN.com, popular online game sites, and even World of Warcraft.

http://typlings.wetpaint.com/
Hi- I made this wetpaint completely private and also received permission to have no advertisements, since it's an educational site. As of... about a week or two ago, ads have been popping up again. I was wondering if they could be taken off again, please, as some of the things advertised are things I'd rather not see (movies) and the other girls on my site would not appreciate. They are also very distracting for our "budding writers" when they are editing their stories online. Thanks for your help, ST

Removing ads from education sites?
I don't know where else to get an answer since the email I sent just responds with an automated reply. Sorry to those of you who will realize this does not involve a bug.
Hello, I sent the following to you on the 5th via the education@wetpaint.com address as directed by your instructions online :
Dear Wetpaint,
Please adjust my site (cactechnology) to be a no-advertisement wiki. This particular wiki is for students and faculty at my school who are trying to incorporate technology into their learning and teaching. Thanks,
jkeevy
Your site stated you need 2 business days to adjust this, but as you can see it has been longer. Other teachers want to use wetpaint, too, but I've asked them to wait until I'm sure you are able to remove these ads.
thanks for your help,

Ads on my site
I have seen many sites on Wetpaint use "ads by google", which I find to be a super wonderful way to keep things free, and still keep the ads related to the website. I've used it on another website I have, and there is usually a little tab that says "Ads by Google" in the corner of the advertisement, which if you click on it, it gives a short little survey asking how helpful the ad was, and whether it was applicable to your site. However, I have not yet seen such a tab on my site, and thus can tailor no feedback to google. I would like to help tailor my ads to meet the hobbies and spending habits of my members, but thus far have had difficulty doing this.
Is anyone aware of a way to either make said "Ads by Google" tab appear, or to directly give feedback about the site to Google Ads?
