  • Suggestion: Captcha new member spam blocker feature Jeremy, I know new Wetpaint features are on hold, but if there is anyway you could update a captcha feature to the "join this site" process, because SEO spam bot joiners are becoming a daily feature, where some robot joins with some computer-generated name then inserts some spam link in the user about section. Sometimes I have to go through and ban upwards of 3 to 10 of these spam new members a week.

  • Adding members I sent an invitation to myself at a different email address (jimmilller5417@gmail.com). I opened that email address and responded to the invitation from myself. I accepted the invitation, skipped the profile and opened the screen which required a log in and password. None had been setup for my gmail account. I tried to login with my gmail account but could not do so.

How does a invited person become a member? There is nothing on the Help files about that process. Simply inviting them does not work. How do I make a person a member directly without having to invite them?

  • sudden changes in site management Hi, Since one week I noticed some unexpected changes in the working of my site (www.gayghana.org resp. www.gayghana.wetpaint.com).
1 Google search does not see me anymore (before I was always on the first page)
    2. People I invite do not get the invitation even though I get the confirmation that the invitations were sent successfully
3 No new members have registered since one week (normally average 2 per day) despite intensive promotion in that period.
What is going on? I have made no significant changes other than tekst, pics and video additions.
There is only one other person with monitor status but he did not change anything either
Please explain what happened and how to restore proper funcitoning of the wiki.

  • invitations in limbo I have invited several people to the wiki who do not appear yet as members, but I also am not able to click "invite again" on the "see who you've already invited" page. In some cases, these people attempted to register for wetpaint but found their computer permissions at work not set to allow it. When that was corrected, they discovered that their user name & emails were "already taken" [presumably by themselves the first time around.] how can this be corrected?
