Design
Wetpaint is great but it's really dull that we can't customize the background or "Design." Is there any way to customize it?

the site is too dull....it needs a little more stuff like a button template and that we can edit the styles of how we wanna put the whole website on a whole secondly the templates are kinda boring but cool. but if everybody can design their website fully how they want it'll be great.......and too much ads by Google!!!!!

Nice design
Not sure why this ended up here, I was in the T-shirt contest area on this photo:

and clicked the Threads link on the left then Start thread.
After I posted I was taken back to the photo but my thread wasn't there (it is here) so I clicked on Start thread and created one that stuck where I wanted it.

A Design Question.
My wiki has two major segments. The first has about 40 pages, one page of which will consist of another cluster of 40 or 50 pages. Should I create another wiki for the second segment with a link from the first or keep them both in one wiki? I am concerned about navigation issues, especially with out a table of contents. I could create a" site page" with all the links in a pseudo table of contents, but that my be very clumsy.
Any thoughts?

Custom templates and design
I want to be able to put editable type in the box. Importing images won't work. For RSS feeds I could probably import a widget in the colors/design I want with the feed already in it, but for a custom template with a layout that has more interesting and visual elements, the editing tools needs A LOT MORE functionality.

Control of page design
Oh, one other thing. I wish I could control the color of the page background. I liked your city skyline design, but I didn't like the stark white background. I'd like to be able to pick tan or something, that is easier on the eyes. Likewise with print color.

Design?
I suppose some of the ideas highlighted are good, but you seem to have forgotten about the #1 most important thing for modern websites: it has to look good! Certainly, a site is only as useful as the information contained, but if it isn't visually interesting people won't want to visit.

Secret to to Designing threads (Please Reply)
I am a member of WWC2 and many other Wetpaint sites, and I really want to know how to design threads like adding color, pictures, and new fonts.
One of the Members on WWC2 does it all the time, and I am admire what she does. A lot of members have asked her what the secret is, and she always says 'Sorry i can't tell you', or 'Look it up on Google. You just have to put the correct words in'.
This is not very helpful, and it makes me want to learn even more.
If it is a secret, then I sorta understand. Why have something that would be great for the community of Wetpaint, if it is a secret?

How do you personalize the site's design?
OK, I saw a thread about a site having a personalized design. When I looked at it, it was a custom URL. When I saw the Big Brother Fan Wikiit didn't have a custom URL, but the site's design was personal. How do I peronalize the site's design.

changing side-panel (pages list) design
is it possible to change this part of the page? The site i'm working on is for a department in our university, and so we intend to have alot of pages.. hundreds surely by the time we're done. I'm hoping its possible to have the side-panel permanently expanded, or maybe removed entirely.. and also to have some pages hidden from the panel/list and accessible only through links from another page.
are these possible?
