New release?
What's new during the new release?
I noticed that the "share" and "report a page" icons are on the right, but what else?

Suggestions for next release.
For Future Releases
1. Fix table code so IE and FF renders the same. Click on a table cell that contains cell coloration and it clears in FF. Justifying tables on a page is another problem in FF. Copy and pasting text into another text editor to remove attached attributes could be fixed so that it doesn't have to be done. Make the wysiwyg editor rendor properly in both browsers - pages display fine in the wysiwyg, but can be anybody's guess on how the page will show up in FF and IE.
2. Anchor linking.
3. Allow Creators and Administrators to create member accounts on their wikis within the wiki. This will solve the invite to private site problem. Admin will communicate via external email with new users. Users will select user name and Admins can setup an account with that user name using a dummy email address and password. User then sent, user name and password in normal email. They can login and change the email and password. No need to un-privatize the site.
4. Simple background syntax. background -image: url and with no repeat, no percentages (fixed size), attachments fixed, along with background color statement so no conflicts with CSS. It is better than nothing .
5. Delete site. Creator permission only. Delete site button in Settings. Click button -redirects site url to a splash page url "Oops, this site was deleted by site creator" and let the normal Wetpaint death process take place with the site. Use a meta refresh tag. Works everytime. Will W3C frown, sure they will, but think of yourself as Microsoft, (<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="8;URL=http:// www.wetpaint.com/sitedelete.html"> )
6. Allow Script in Widgets only.
7. Profile backup capability.
8. And if you have some spare time, move the "Share This" or change it from a mouse-over function. It gets in my way and makes me do an extra mouse movement.

How do you copy and paste into tables...?
Open the page with the table in one tab and the page with the information to be copied in another tab.
Highlight the information and then click and hold the mouse, then drag the mouse to the tab with the table which should then open the page. Then move the mouse to the table and release the button, thus dropping the information into the table. Drag and Drop. I hope this helps, because it is getting here.

Latest release is playing havoc
"I keep losing formatting...Text keeps triple spacing or even more, pictures float even, writers have told me they can not post from Word and keep formatting, etc. Is anyone else having similar problems? Any solutions? Anyone know when we might get this cleared up?" Your best option is to add tables to the page and then place the info in the appropriate cells. For example, if you add a table with say five rows and three columns, then by adding a background colour to the left and right cells and leaving the centre one the same colour as the background, the information can be separated without the need to format. If you choose "Select Table" from the editing options, you can drag the column spacers to create a narrow centre field while leaving the two outside ones much wider. The cells will expand automatically, the more info you add, so you don't have to worry about that particular aspect. Similarly, you can add/delete rows and columns as need be.
If you're posting from Word, try disabling wrapping before you copy/paste it.

Also: Let's fix the past updates before adding any new ones!
For one, the "suggest links" button has been broken for months now? We used to be able to left-click on yellow highlighted words and they would automatically link. Now this function is not working. Let's please fix this before we do any more "releases". Thanks: Libb

Gaps down page
This was one of the more common problems with WYSIWYG in the past, and one of the problems we tried to correct in the software release we did last night. Please try editing this page again and let us know if we have improved this for you.

Canceling the Membership
The cancel membership button is inoperative at this time. It should be fixed on the next release. In the meantime paste this into the address bar of your browser. Replace the "your-site-name" with the site name, the membership is to be cancelled. Also replace the "your-username" with the ursername whose account is to be cancelled.

Word Formatting translation
It would be so nice if there was even a half decent attempt at translating the MS Word formatting to Wetpaint. After all, not having it is a huge barrier to migrating existing Word based documentation to this format. I just tried to paste a rather complex document inot the editor and it just came up as a stream of unformatted text. The document is virtually unuseable without formatting...at least spacing and bullets would be nice...bolding and indents would be huge as well.
whatya say WETPAINT...can you make it happen?

swear words
This is a new feature added in one of the past releases. But you can suggest the option of taking it off on the following page:

Editing or previewing comments
Right now, there is no way to edit a comment after it's posted. It'd be nice to be able to fix a typo or something, maybe within the first few minutes of posting it. Alternatively (or additionally), it'd be nice to be have a 'preview' option before posting a comment.
Finally, unless I'm mistaken, it seems like there is no hyperlink capability within messages. Sometimes, I may want to point people to a certain page on the site, but it doesn't show up as active, and they just have to copy and paste.
Any thoughts?
Regards,
Sue_b

Bug: Banned user
OS: Win XP
Browsers: Firefox & IE (latest versions)
I believe i have found a bug related to the Ban User feature in Wetpaint. On this site there are several users that hold the rank of "Administrator". While testing out the Ban feature, one user maceama was accidentally banned from the site. There does not appear to be anyway to unban this user (clicking unban just appears to refresh the same page) several attempts have been made over the past few days (from different Admin accounts) but to no avail. It appears that if an Admin bans an Admin there is no way to unban! thanks,
