Does anyone know what happened to 'Jason_wetpaint' did he leave wetpaint?

Heidiana was the person that created Wetpaint Central. However, she left the company and then Jeremy and Jason took over Wetpaint Central.

Wetpaint
I am really disgruntled at the state of wetpaint. I have not been at all interested in editing anything since the last time you have reorginized wetpaint. I wish you hadn't gotten rid of the box on the right side that showed recent contributions. That was very nice because I could see if anyone had contributed anything recently, so I would click on it to see what they did, and that would incite me to add something of my own. Now I simply am not inspired to add anything to my sites. The new format looks really tacky. I wish you would just leave the format the same, or at least give the users a choice of whether they want to switch over to a new format.
anymore. I am also very upset about the large video ads on the side of the page. One thing I liked about wetpaint and used it for so many things was because it just had small, ads by google that weren't intrusive and were usually related to the subject you were working on. Hence I prefered to use wetpaint over other free sites. Now, I a, just disgusted by the large ads. And there's even an ad on our Magistra G's Latin Wiki site, which we worked hard on and got approved to be an ad-free website. Now it feels like wetpaint is betraying us. We're seriously considering to switching to a different free website because of all this.

"I want to get a job at Wetpaint when I am older. Then I can be Admin on WPC!" You would most likely be a mod. Also, many of the users that work at wetpaint dont have to come on WPC. They dont have time to come on while they are working. The only ones that HAVE to come on is Jeremy_wetpaint, Jason_wetpaint, Kimberly B, and a few others. Moved to Discussion Forum.

Wetpaint for under 13s
I do agree with Jason on this one. It is mostly because of the email systems. Email systems usually dont allow people to make an email unless they are 13 years or older, as Spanier said. However, I do find wetpaint a valuable tool and could help young school children learn. I know that the there is a law about it, but it is a good suggestion. I just dont see how wetpaint could do this. It would be a very hard thing to do. But wetpaint is a good tool for education. My school uses wetpaint to help teach us. One of my teachers made a wetpaint site so she could post a project on it. I also used wetpaint to make a site for a project I had to do. So, I agree with the decision, but it would be hard to do.

Hi Madusha, I recommend that you do not. I am sorry for all the mess I have created with others with something that I thought I would share. Although you understand the process of doing what was promoted by me, there are some consequences as Jason_Wetpaint pointed out. With the release of FireFox 3.0 Beta, any background made this way will not display correctly. So those members, who prefer Firefox as a browser, will not see what you see with your browser. It is not only Firefox but other browsers too.
I downloaded the Beta version of FF3. and not only did that version separate the floating background image from the table it just put it onto the page as an image. There is also some other weird misplacement issues that FF3 has to deal with here with Wetpaint. But then again, it is a beta program seeking to solicite feedback on things that are not working. And believe me I have seen several dealing with FF3 and Wetpaint. But the bottom line here is not to use it. Thanks for your post, Madusha.

wetpaint is SLOW right now
I have also noticed that all Wetpaint wikis have been loading slower than usual. I'm sure that it is only temporarily

Using iPod Touch on Wetpaint
You also can't on Apple Computers, because they use the Safari browser too. I really hope Wetpaint can get Apple to support them.

Your site's permissions are set to veiw by the public, but only those whom you invite to be a writer can make edits. . When I signed in I got the "Apply To Be A Writer" button, which is normal.The problem is there are no members on your site that are writers.They are all registered users, who do not have permission to edit pages. There is no creator, administrator nor moderator on the site to promote the registered users to writers. You need to contact one of Wetpaint's Administrators to see if they can help with promoting someone on your wiki to a moderator's level. Jeremy_wetpaint or Jason_wetpaint are two of the adminstrators that can help you further.

Deleting user accounts on wetpaint sites
Jason_wetapint, my wetpaint account isn't still active. If I try to use the old username and password, I'm given this response at sign in, "We could not find an account with the username and password you provided. Please try again or, if you are a first-time visitor, create a new account."
If I try to create a new username and password, I can't use my email address. The username and password have been deactivated, but the username and original sign-up email address are no longer available to reuse. Wetpaint's database of defunct, deactivated usernames is not deleting the previous account information (usernames, email addresses) out of the system so they can be used again. Likewise, they can't be reactivated like you claim. The only option appears to be using a new email address and new username, which is a pain in the ass.

Why is Wetpaint not allowing me to make a second site?
"Though Jeremy could be right, I think the Problem is that you are putting the SAME E-Mail Adress. You just go to Wetpaint, go to Create a Site, and when it asks what Username and Stuff you want, go to "I already have a Wetpaint Account" and Sign in. I'm sure this'll Help. If it doesn't, take Jeremy's Advice.
