  • Wetpaint skins The only customization that you will be able to do is the header. For example, notice the header for Wetpaint Central is different than the default. This can be done by loading an image into Name&Logo in your site settings.

Other than that, you will not be able to customize the skin.

  • Wetpaint, Downhill Is it me or has Wetpaint been going downhill today? I think it's because of the Photo Gallery release. Yesterday (before Photo Gallery release) everything on Wetpaint was working fine and today (after Photo Gallery release) it's not.

  • how? Wetpaint does not support custom backgrounds at this time. You can choose from 24 different site style templates through the wiki settings, and you can upload a custom header image to give the site a custom look. With just a stock style template and a custom header, it can look pretty cool. Check out http://mythcreat.wetpaint.com/ for example.

More options to customize the look of your site will be coming in future releases.

  • How? Becoming a moderator isn't easy, straight forward, nor a manifest. Rather, site creators, admin., and other moderators (like some others have stated) typically look for those with a special diligence, persistence, and interest in their site and topic, and overall the general proportion of their site.

One must show that they have a broad spectrum of that particular site, and show responsibility in the face of adversity. This of course does not happen in days, nor weeks, nor a few months. It takes time of 'hardening' to become one. They must be able to keep consistency in BOTH pages and discussions.

With that said, the individual must show that they are somewhat fimilar with the Wetpaint Editor and constantly increasing Wetpaint Features.

    Then again, most sites differ:
    * Some sites only want a member to show at least X amounts of genuine contributions, which I find frivolous because I fail to see how that can truly judge BOTH sides of the spectrum of a good moderator.

    * Some sites will promote users right away based on one's user name, or past experiences.

Here are my steps of recommendation for you, somewhat97:
    1. E-mail the site creator/ admin (whomever is frequently active) and ask them what THEY typically look for.

    2. Get involved in the Community. Easy said then done in most cases; however, if you are somewhat new, I suggest that you make contributions that are fresh, fun, and engaging for the whole community.

    3. Help other where needed. If someone has a question, never fear to answer it to you greatest ability.

    4. Make sure to be a friendly face in the community, not the outcast.

    5. Encourage time and future participation to newcomers. Send a welcome compliment or friendly message.

These are just a few, solid steps that you can do. For further assistance on this matter, see a few of these links:

  • Hmm.. Wetpaint 500?
"I actually think removing the wetpaint 500 completely would be a very bad idea because some people did enjoy seeing the rankings of their site and seeing how far they can climb that epic 500. It also pushed other users on the site to help out and do a lot around the wiki..

It may of caused fights but fights aren't always bad and even if we can promote other places, wetpaint will be harder to gain members because we lost a promoting piece.. Its like a puzzle, many places to show ads and promote and with one piece gone it won't ever be complete.

I'd say if the wetpaint 500 isn't coming back at least make something for each category or something like that because their is a lot of discussions about this and bringing it back would be the best idea. It also made wetpaint quite unique."
The Wetpaint 500 will come back. The Wetpaint 500 has only been removed until they decide a new way to rank sites. Many people gave them different ideas on how sites should be ranked, so they removed it until they figure out which idea they are going to choose.

  • user problem-different emails I have a problem I don't know how to fix. Here is the scenario. I have 2 private blogs. I have a user who I invited to both. The problem is that when the user joined (at different times) they used a different email and I guess a different username and password too maybe. She can get into one with no problem. But she can't get into the other one. Although I see her in it as a member. When she logs in it doesn't even say anything it just won't let her in. I think she might have forgotten the username and password for the 2nd wiki.
What should I do? I can't cancel her membership in the 2nd wiki, I can only ban her. I need to get her into the site.
    thanks.
