Reporting Inappropriate Ads

If you find an ad on your site that is patently offensive, you believe contains malware, or links to pornographic content you can let us know about it so we can remove it from the network. Keep in mind that Wetpaint cannot remove specific ads on a site by site basis.

Using Firebug to Inspect an Ad

Attention Firefox users!
If you are a Firefox user, we recommend you install the Firebug add-on and use it to inspect a specific ad. The code that this will reveal will allow Wetpaint to identify which ad network is serving the ad so we can take action more quickly.

Once you've installed Firebug in Firefox, you can open it by clicking on the little "bug" in the lower right corner of your browser window.

Using Firebug to Inspect Ads

To report an ad, follow these steps:
  1. Paste the code (as shown in #3 above) into an email message
  2. If possible, take a screenshot of the page with the ad on it and include this in your message.
  3. Send your report to us at info[At}wetpaint[Dot]com with the subject line "Reporting an ad".

wiiplay Custom advertisement request? 2 May 8 2011, 9:34 AM EDT by Mod_Kaeleigh
Thread started: May 8 2011, 12:40 AM EDT  Watch
Hello, I'm aware that Wetpaint does not allow for one to host custom AdSense advertisements, mainly due to the advertisement area being uneditable. However, is there a possibility for one to request a dedicated ad-block, located in a similar location to the already visible AdSense ad?
I am interested in hosting a custom advertisement, which would not affect the visibility of the already placed AdSense code.
My advertisement code, which allows for users to quickly and easily purchase their own advertisements directly from within the widget, would not limit or void the already available AdSense advertisements.

If I were to give a Wetpaint developer my advertisement code/widget, is there a possibility that the developer could integrate it into my Wetpaint website?

Thank you for reading, and I know the answer will most likely be a solid and firm "no". However, I thought it was worth a shot.

roctheking ad-free Church wiki? 15 Aug 22 2010, 2:55 PM EDT by Naru2008

i would like to know if it is possible for you to extend the same ad-free benefit that education wikis have to churches and their ministries. I am a high school teacher, but I also teach at my church. I would like to set up a wiki for them to discuss Bible topics, life issues, testimonies, etc. without having the normal distractions of most social sites(i.e. myspace, facebook, urbanchat, etc.). I believe that this wiki would be a great benefit to all of my kids just as wetpaint has been for several teachers. Thank you for your consideration in this manner.
