Widgets are web-based tools and gadgets from other web sites that you can embed directly on your page. Like any application on the Web, you should only use those developed by trusted sources. - Wetpaint supports widgets that are either embedded Flash or that are contained within an IFRAME tag. You can choose from a list of widgets we support, or choose "Other Widget" for widgets you don't see in our list.
How do I add a widget to my site?
- Widgets are placed on any editable page. To add a widget: -
Click on the "EasyEdit" button and the toolbar will appear.
Place your cursor where you'd like to display your widget, and click on the "Widget" button in the toolbar. The "Add Widget" dialog will appear.
Select the widget you want to add and follow the instructions for that widget from there.
Supported widgets
Google Calendars: share your Google calendar with site users to keep them posted of key events.
Imeem Music Player: This widget allows you to play your favorite songs on your wetpaint wiki.
DocStoc: Use an embed code from Docstoc to upload documents to your Wetpaint site.
HeyZap: Embed a HeyZap widget anywhere on your Wetpaint site and gain access to a multitude of free games.
Other widgets
Wetpaint widgets includes an "Other Widgets" option that you can use to embed Flash or IFRAME codes. This can be used to add things like games, clocks, weather widgets, virtual pets, and all sorts of other things.
Q. Can I add games to my site? - A. Yes! Wetpaint does not facilitate uploading and hosting of audio, video, or other web application files, but you may insert links to files hosted elsewhere or embed a game widget on your site using the "Other widget" feature. See the Other Widget page for details.
