"I actually think removing the wetpaint 500 completely would be a very bad idea because some people did enjoy seeing the rankings of their site and seeing how far they can climb that epic 500. It also pushed other users on the site to help out and do a lot around the wiki..

It may of caused fights but fights aren't always bad and even if we can promote other places, wetpaint will be harder to gain members because we lost a promoting piece.. Its like a puzzle, many places to show ads and promote and with one piece gone it won't ever be complete.

I'd say if the wetpaint 500 isn't coming back at least make something for each category or something like that because their is a lot of discussions about this and bringing it back would be the best idea. It also made wetpaint quite unique."
