How do I add a video?
- To add a YouTube™, Hulu, or Google video to a page, click on the "EasyEdit" button and the toolbar will appear.
- Place your cursor where you'd like to display your video, and click on the "Widget" button in the toolbar.
- Select YouTube Video, Hulu Video, or Google Video. The "Add Video" dialog will appear.
- If you select YouTube, "Add by searching" is selected by default. You may search for a video by entering a search word of phrase in the open text field. If you wish to embed with a url or embed code, select "Add by URL or EMBED" and follow the instructions below.
To add by URL or EMBED, paste in the URL or the Embed code from the video into the open text field and click "Add Video." For more information on uploading videos visit the YouTube help center or the Google help center.
Note: When embedding a YouTube video, you must use the old embedded code. The new embedded code is not compatible with the YouTube widget. There's an option to "use the old embedded code". This must be used to embed your video with the YouTube widget. Since the new embedded code is an iFrame, you must paste it into the "Other Widget" option. To learn how to use the new embedded code on one of Wetpaint's wikis, please visit the "Other Widget" help page on this site. To see and learn the difference between embedding these two codes on a wiki, please visit the "YouTube" widget example page.
YouTube Hulu Google Video
After you've added your video, an "Edit Video" dialog will appear. You can change the size of your video by using the (-) or (+) options. You can also change where your video appears in relationship to the copy on the page by using the layout icons. When you're satisfied with the size and layout of your video image, click on the "Done" button.
Note: You cannot view a widget while editing a page; at that time, you will see an icon that represents your widget. Your widget will be viewable after you save the page.

As of November 2012, Youtube removed the Old Embed Code option as a default when uploading videos. If the youtuber does not select Old Embed Code, the video will not have that option to share with the old embed code which is needed for Wetpaint to create a widget by embed mode. You may still use the Youtube video option to place Youtube videos on your wiki. So if you come upon a video that does not have the option to use the old embed code, please go to this workaround.
Go to this page to find out how to use the old code again. This is necessary for customization of the widget.
