Note: When embedding a YouTube video, you must use the old embedded code. The new embedded code is not compatible with the YouTube widget. There's an option to "use the old embedded code". This must be used to embed your video with the YouTube widget. Since the new embedded code is an iFrame, you must paste it into the "Other Widget" option. To learn how to use the new embedded code on one of Wetpaint's wikis, please visit the "Other Widget" help page on this site. To see and learn the difference between embedding these two codes on a wiki, please visit the "YouTube" widget example page.

As of November 2012, Youtube removed the Old Embed Code option as a default when uploading videos. If the youtuber does not select Old Embed Code, the video will not have that option to share with the old embed code which is needed for Wetpaint to create a widget by embed mode. You may still use the Youtube video option to place Youtube videos on your wiki. So if you come upon a video that does not have the option to use the old embed code, please go to this workaround.
Go to this page to find out how to use the old code again. This is necessary for customization of the widget. http://cryingdove.wetpaint.com/page/Autoplay+Youtube+Videos |
