Using Promotional BadgesThis is a featured page

What are Badges?
Badges can be very helpful. If some of your site's users are feeling generous, they might put one of these badges on their site. Badges are little pictures, basically adverts for your site, that tells people (Briefly) what your site is about, and usually contains a link back. It is much like Link and Banner Exchanging, except you do not do anything in return. Your users do it out of the kindness of their heart.

Where do I get Badges?
You make them, of course. There may be some websites that allow you to generate badges, but like they say, home-made is better than ready-made. There's plenty of tools out there that allow you to make Badges, and you could even use MS Paint if you were very good. Of course there's friends, and you could ask them to make you some (If they were willing to).

There's plenty of Free softare on the internet that's great for badges, like GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), or Paint.Net. All you need to do is have a good look around, and ask your friends or other Wetpainters what they recommend. If you're a Wiz with HTML, you could program your Badge to have certain actions.
