  • Whenever you rename a page, be sure to fix all links that linked to the old page name so people can still find it.
  • Use spell check!
  • Try not to use intricate table designs. Although they may look nice, experience has shown that the more intricate they are the harder it is for the page to load. (K.I.S.S.)
  • Read the rules!

  • Have you run out of attachment space on your site? A user sent me a message about this situation this morning and I thought it would be good to share the tips I gave her.

There are things you can do to get around the limit. Many of the file types that are added as attachments can be added to the site as page content or widgets. For example, a PowerPoint slideshow can be uploaded to Slideshare.net or Docstoc.com and then embedded onto a Wetpaint page as a widget. You can also use Box.net to host files and embed access to the files directly on your Wetpaint site as a widget as well.

This allows you to add many types of documents or file types without them counting towards your site attachment limit.

  • Use many tables when working on your design. Using advanced table features can make a site look wonderful. Just experiment with tables, and try out new things.
  • Use graphics in your designs. Using graphics can make pages look really cool.

  • Use different font styles and colors! If you use the same style and color over and over again, it will look boring. But don't make it too colorful, or the reader's eyes will get sore.
  • Use more tables. You should use different styles of tables. Like adding a table inside a table.
