              Top ten tips

              Here are 10 simple things you can do to improve your site:

              1. Give your home page a descriptive name. 6.Create To-Dos to encourage others to pitch in where you need it.
              2. Keep your home page text short. Put 4 to 5 links on your home page to deeper pages on your site. 7.Avoid creating blank pages. Add a call to action at the top to encourage contribution.
              3. Be welcoming! Tell people what they can do on your site. 8. Use headers and subheads to aid page scanning and to create a sense of information hierarchy.
              4. To aid users in finding content of interest, keep your site’s navigation menu well-organized. 9.Use keyword tags on every page to help users discover related content more easily.
              5. Update the site frequently with unique content. Refresh the home page to advertise the new pages. 10.Add lots of photos and videos. Remember to add links and descriptions to your photos.

              On my site (mystriesofmagic.wetpaint.com), I had a troublesome moderator who deleted three important threads and left. How can I restore these threads?

              Some time ago, I suggested a translator for various languages that could be added to a wetpaint site. I haven't seen anything about it since Wetpaint ventured that it would be provided "soon".

              Now, I have another suggestion, unless someone is actually doing it already --in which case I'd like to know how it's done-- about adding a musical background to the sites so when people log in, there's music playing (the viewer can turn it off at their own sound controls in case the music is annoying to them).
