The purpose of the Wikis By Wetpaint Top 100 is to encourage friendly competition between wikis, and to provide an easy way for the Wetpaint community to find an active wiki on the network to join and contribute to. The new ranking system improves upon the Wetpaint 500 by including indicators to monitor site activity trends, decreasing the number of sites on the list, and encouraging the Wetpaint Community to use the Top 100 to discover active wikis to join and contribute to.
What's different about the Wikis By Wetpaint Top 100:
There are 100 sites on the list, not 500.
Beside the name of each wiki is an indicator that shows whether the wiki's place on the Top 100 has risen, dropped, stayed the same, or if the wiki is new to the list this week.
The first 10 sites in the list are more prominently displayed.
More to come! :-)
We appreciate your support as we work to continue to improve the Wikis By Wetpaint Top 100.
How Does The Top 100 Work?
Every Monday or Tuesday, the Wetpaint staff posts a list of the 100 most active sites on the wikis by Wetpaint network.
Wikis are ranked by activity, which is measured in the total number of thread posts and page edits in the last month.
For this reason, sites less than a month old do not qualify for the Top 100.
The Top 100 list does not include non-wiki sites by Wetpaint.com. Wikis only! :-)
