Greetings, all you crafty and creative Wetpainters!

Below are rules and guidelines for entering the Wetpaint T-Shirt Design Contest, in which you -- yes, you! -- could win $200 and the glory of having your design plastered to the bodies of countless warm-blooded fellow Wetpaint users!

Make sure you carefully read the guidelines and rules so your entry is official! Good luck, and we're itching to see all your fantastic Wetpaint-inspired creations!

How It Works

How to Enter

You create a Wetpaint T-shirt design (see guidelines and idea starters below).
Join this site and upload your design as an image (allowable formats: .jpg, .png., or .gif) to this photo album (click "add photos to album") on or before August 15, 2008.
A panel of Wetpaint employees and Wetpaint superpainters will judge the pool of design entries.
The top three designs from this initial judging round will then be presented to the larger Wetpaint community for a popular vote.
The winning design will be produced as the official 2008 Wetpaint T-shirt.

Design Guidelines

We're looking for a unique design that captures the fun essence of Wetpaint, one that Wetpaint users, fans, and employees would wear with pride!

The maximum design area is 10" x 10" (25.4 cm x 25.4 cm).
Your design will be printed on the front of the T-shirt only.
You are welcome to incorporate the Wetpaint logo in your design, but using the logo isn't required -- we'll be featuring it on the back of the shirt.
Your design should contain a maximum of four (4) colors (plus the shirt color).

Submission & Judging

Submission

You can submit more than one design, but only one of your submitted designs will be eligible to be one of the top three chosen designs
To submit your design(s), simply join this site [LINK] and upload an image of your design(s) to this photo album (allowable formats: .jpg, .png., .gif). Be sure that you register using a viable email address where you can be reached -- if your design is chosen, you will receive notification via the private messaging service on the site.
Eligible designs must be submitted to the site on or before August 15, 2008 11:59 PM PST.

Judging

A team of Wetpaint employees and superpainters (those are community members who really love Wetpaint) will judge the designs. Designs will be judged based on the following qualities:

Creativity
Originality
Effectiveness of conveying the essence of the Wetpaint brand
Legality (don't use any copyright-protected or "borrowed" imagery)

The top three designs selected by the judging panel will then be shared with the larger Wetpaint community for a final vote.
If your design is chosen, you must be able to hand off the design in a print-ready format, created using a scalable vector graphics (SVG) program like Adobe Illustrator. The image should be at least 200dpi in CMYK mode.

Terms & Conditions

You will retain all copyright of your work.
Your design entry/entries must meet all of the following requirements or it/they will be disqualified:

Your design entry/entries must be original, unpublished, your sole property, and not previously submitted in any other contest.
Your design entry/entries must relate to Wetpaint.
Your design entry/entries must be submitted in .jpg, .png, or .gif format under 1MB in size.
Your entry/entries must not violate third-party rights including, copyrights, trademarks and any other intellectual property rights. Do not include any third-party trademarks, company names, or logos other than those of Wetpaint.
Entries must not depict obscenity; disparage any product or person; or contain other offensive or inappropriate content or material.

We reserve the right to prescreen, monitor, and remove design entries, at our discretion.
By submitting your entry/entries you are allowing Wetpaint to print your design on Wetpaint T-shirts for an indefinite period of time.
By submitting your entry/entries you understand that Wetpaint may use your design in promotional materials/photography from time to time.
Each entrant may submit as many designs as they like, but only one design per entrant is eligible to be considered in the final three designs.
If your design is selected, we will attribute you credit for your design if you provide us with the name you would like to appear in association with the design.
Wetpaint reserves the right to make design adjustments to the winning design.
The winning entrant will receive one (1) $200 Amazon.com gift card via email. This prize is non-refundable/non-transferable.
Amazon.com Gift Cards/Certificates may not be redeemed for the purchase of products through in-store pickup or at Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.ca, or any other website operated by Amazon.com, its affiliates, or any other person or entity. If Amazon.com does not ship to your country, we will provide a substitute prize of equal value to use at an equivalent service in your country.
