Wetpaint is full of bugs. There's lots of irritating little things which most people have to confront every day, and there's simple workarounds for these bugs. If there's a bug that isn't listed on this page, or you have an alternative workaround for one, please post a thread! Also, choose 'Wetpaint Tips' as your category for the thread before posting. This helps prevent the forum from being cluttered up.
1 - Table Content Doesn't Center (Or centers, then re-aligns it upon saving) When trying to center content in a table, it often doesn't work - or it works, but when you save and refresh the page, everything's moved back to the left. This is highly infuriating, but easily fixed. WORKAROUNDS 1: Create a new line after the content. Just press ENTER, then center the content. Afterwards, delete the line. Save. It should stay where it is.
2 - Tables with Thick Border Preset Does Not Colour Properly When you create a table and click the button which puts thick borders all the way around the edge, you have troubles with colouring the cells. Usually, the colour disappears when you click the table, or one of the edges disappear, then the colour disappears when you click the table to fix the edge. WORKAROUNDS 1: Pick the ordinary preset, which is the one where all cells have ordinary borders. Then colour the cells, and manually set the borders to be thick. This can take a while if you have lots of cells, but is currently the only known workaround.
3 - Animated GIFs Don't Animate When you put a .GIF image on a page, if the size of the .GIF is an odd number, Wetpaint will automatically resize it by a pixel, causing it to stop animating. WORKAROUNDS 1: In order for Wetpaint to not automatically resize the .GIF, you will need to resize it yourself (offline). Resizing each frame can be hard, so you can visit this page to see how to resize a .GIF. After you have resized it to an even number of pixels, you can upload the image without it breaking. 2: This is not recommended, but works until you paste something on the page (then you have to repeat the workaround as Wetpaint 'formats' the image and turns it into text). You upload your .GIF to an external image host such as ImageShack, then open the image (full size) in a new tab when it is done. You then drag the image (with your mouse) over to the tab with your Wetpaint site open, and drop the image onto the correct area of the page (in EasyEdit mode). Like I said earlier, this will work until you paste something else on the page.
