I would like to be able to check someone out before accepting them as a friend. This feature does not appear to be available; is that correct? When people have names that you do not know this makes it very hard to assess if they should be accepted, is there a way to email them forst to find out who they are/what their interest is in our wiki? We are developing a wiki for a specific project but do want to invite others to join but don't want the site cluttered with extraneous information.

I hope you're not saying you don't want to be friends anymore ;-)
