| What makes a Good Moderator? A good Moderator is someone with:
| How can I find those people? You've got the easy part done - who to look for. Now the hard part - finding them. There might not be someone like that on your site, in which case you'll just have to wait until somebody comes along. One good way to find them is to put a Moderator Application page on, saying what you are looking for in a Moderator, and if they think they're up to it, they can send you a message. Hopefully somebody fit for the job will send you a message. Another way, is to send a message to all users saying that you're looking for Moderators and are wondering if anybody thought they'd be good for the job. Of course, if you don't have huge amounts of members on your site, you could check each members profile, activity, and contributions, then private message the user (If they fit your standards) and ask if they'd like to become a Moderator. |
