i try adding game widgets to my wiki, but they never work, it just is a white box. It says to upload the swf file to the website directory so it will work, but i dont know wut that means. kan n e 1 hlp me?

The site or service hosting the widget should provide some type of embed code. Typically you just copy the code and then paste it into the widget feature back here on Wetpaint.

I am having the exact same problem today. Try at the start instead of "<object" add "<object>". That may be the problem. Some widgets just can't be supported.

Did anybody else know that in order for widgets to work on Wetpaint, the MUST have quotes around the variables? I expermented while using iframes.
<iframe src=http://www.blahblahblah.com/ width=70.1% height=90%></iframe>
The above code DID NOT work. Then I tried this...
<iframe src="http://www.blahblahblah.com/" width="70.1%" height="90%"></iframe>
The above code DID work.
If you're somebody like me, then you'll be glad to know this. ^_^ I don't usually need quotes when I do HTML editting... yeah... it's a bad habit. ^_^;
And for anybody that needs an embed flash code...

"Start by deleting the widget on the page and saving. Then get the code again from Slide and re-ad the widget. I recommend using the code they offer for use on Freewebs. I was able to add a Slide widget just fine on my test site." It worked, thank you! Just for clarity, there was no need to delete the widget because it just wasn't there. And then of course there's the mystery of why I need to use the Freewebs code her but don't need it on my other Wetpaint site. But it's all good regardless. Thanks again.
