To add a new feed, click on "Add news feed" in the upper right of the main News page.
In the default view ("Add by searching"), you can add a keyword-based feed that will provide news items about a particular subject based on a search term:
-Enter a keyword or phrase in the Search Terms field (tip: If you're searching a term with multiple words that should appear in order, surround them with quotes for better results. Example: "James Bond")
-You can edit the name of the feed and and add a description of the feed to help your users understand what it's about
-Click "Add News Feed"
Or you can add news from a specific source by clicking on "Add by RSS":
-Paste in the RSS URL from the source you want to use (e.g. "http://rss.ew.com/web/ew/rss/americanidol/index.xml" ... look for the RSS logo [ or ] on your favorite sites)
-Provide a name for your feed (e.g. "Entertainment news from MSNBC.com") and add a description
-Click "Add News Feed"
Viewing news items
-After adding a feed, you’ll see headlines and summaries for up to three recent items from that feed on the main News page
-Click "See more" to see more items from that feed, if available
-Click on the "view original item" link to read the whole item at the original source in a new window
Commenting on items
-You and your users can add a quick comment to any news item by entering it in the comment field under each article and clicking "Comment"
-The most recent comment will always appear under the item on the main News page
-Click on the headline of the item to see all comments about a item
-Users can find items that are hot topics of conversation by clicking on the "Most commented articles" tab on the main News page
Other moderation-related notes
-If you want to edit any part of a feed – keywords, URL, name or description – click on the "edit news feed" link next to the feed’s description on the main News page
-To remove a feed, go to that feed’s page (click "see more" from the main News page) and click "Delete news feed" in the upper right of the page, OR click on "edit news feed" and then on "remove the news feed" in the Edit News Feed dialog
-The feed displayed at the top of the News page will be the most recent feed to come]be added
