Message in the Inbox
Once you have saved your changes, your new members will receive your message as soon as they join. The screenshot below is a picture of the New Member Message in an inbox. If you do not receive a New Member Message when you join a wiki, the creator of that wiki probably choose to not send a welcome message to their new members. If the creator choose to send a message to their new users, as a new member, you should take your time to read the message and reply to it if you have any questions or concerns.

Creating a Good New Member Message
Writing a good New Member Message is one of the important components to creating an inviting community. A good New Member Message should thank the member for joining your site, explain how they can contribute to the wiki, introduce them to the rules of the wiki, and provide them with the links to specific pages that are important to understanding the purpose of the wiki. Another key element to include in your message is to invite them to ask any questions or concerns that arise when they're getting used to your wiki. A caring Staff caters to the goal of creating an inviting community. If your message contains the above information, you're set.
