Member Profile Template
Each site is configured on creation with a default Member Profile Template. Site creators and administrators can edit the default profile to customize it for the site topic.
Having a simple template to follow is a great way to get new site members started. Profile templates also help members know what they have in common with other site members. Want to ask each member what their favorite movie is? Drop it in the template. Curious about their home town? You can add that too.

Customize the Member Profile Template
- Open a wiki & sign in as an administrator
- Open the Communications tab
- Open the Member Profile Template link
- Click on the "EasyEdit" button…
and the toolbar will appear.
- Type in your new text, edit what's there, or paste in text from another document. You can use the formatting buttons in the toolbar to change the alignment and format of the text, just as you would with a word processing program.
- When you're satisfied, click on the "Save" button in the toolbar.

I have created a specified Member Profile Template. If we want Members to fill in the template (which we have changed) and they have not done so, that we should have them delete their profile info and start over? How do we ensure that the profile is applied?
Some members have tried to edit the profile, but they don't even see the table that we added to the template. We want them to be able to use. Thanks! Cool site. |

I press easy edit,it does edit!But,when i press save it all goes around as if in paragraph after name.When ever i try to just type in the text where i want, all it does is say, "allow this to past on page"I HATE THAT!HELP!!!!!

Hello. i like the templates, however I don't really want kids to write about themselves per se, but rather I want them to share their understanding of the content we are learning. These templates could be used in the beginning of the year as we get to know each other. Later on, it is not that I don't want to read about the students life, but I am really more concerned about whether my students are able to share what they know about specific content information. I think the purpose for writing on an educational wiki should not be about themselves, but the work they are learning and engaged in. This takes all the subjectivity out of the project and allows students to focus on what we want them to know instead of themselves.
This is just the beginning for me of creating wikis in the classroom and so I may not be as knowledgeable as others on the topic. Please share your thinking!!! Michele Polselli

That didn`t tell me how to get it on my profile though. I am the person who started the website and That means I am above and adminastrater, but even if I press save it still isn`t on my profile,
