Javascript
Sep 17 2007, 7:57 PM EDT
I'd like to suggest that Wetpaint becomes compatible with Javascript codes so I could do more on the site. For example, most widgets are only compatible with snippet or Javascript codes, then I don't get to do what I want to do and my wiki becomes a total failure for one simple thing. Maybe Wetpaint's next project should be compatibility with Javascript and snippet codes. Also maybe when you want to add a widget there can be an icon for 'Widgetbox' which is compatible with all widgetbox widgets.

Thanks for the suggestion. I believe the primary reason we don't support embedded JavaScript code is because of the potential for malicious use. Read this blog post I found for some explanations why: http://jeremy.zawodny.com/blog/archives/008547.html

The main reason I want Javascript is because of that handy traffic detector widget wich tells you where the main sources of traffic are coming from. Also on the CSS there is a scroll bar, the one where all of your script (writng) is put in a little box where you can scroll up and down, without taking that much space on your wiki (an example is like this message, when you write your comment, you write in this box, well there is a scroll bar on the side where you can obviously scroll, well the CSS version is a permanent/or not permanent version of script in a box.)
