Maintaining ObjectivityThis is a featured page

As moderator, you will be asked to make many objective decisions. Whether it is in your daily content editing or how you deal with Internet trolls, you should always make your judgment based on what is in the site's best interest. Try not to take anything people say or do personally, as you will most certainly come across vandalism and site misuse on occasion. Instead, act in accordance with our suggestions and your own discretion.

Here are some tips for making good decisions:

  • Try to view situations through someone else's perspective.
  • Don't be too quick to make a decision.
  • Try to stick firmly with your original decision.
  • Ask an experienced moderator what they would do.
