Language Support

Q. Does Wetpaint support other languages?

A. You can pretty much use any language you like on your Wetpaint site. At the current time, however, all Wetpaint tools and Help content are only available in English. We do expect Wetpaint to be fully localized for other languages in the future.

Q. How can I add text that includes accents or other characters?

A. How to add accents varies depending on the OS, OS Language, and keyboard setup being used.

Various accents do work in Wetpaint. Here's an example site:

Hi,

supporting some main languages would be a great improvement for international accesibility to wetpaint wikis. At current time, however easy to use and nice-looking the wetpaint webs are, many non-english-speaking potential users are discouraged by the language problem, as is my case in Southeast Spain. I can understand the web tools, but my association members don't, so they tend to relay on their traditional e-mail attaching technology.

I find your software really useful and I think this is a main handicap, so please let me know if I can contribute somehow in the translation and the "speeding up" of the process :) I offer spanish translation, but I'm sure there'll be candidates for other languages.

Best regards,

Fernando
